Learning Support programs

Kolbe Catholic College offers a range of programs to meet the needs of all students including extra assistance in and out of class, small group work and specialised intervention. Additional support is provided for students experiencing learning difficulties or for those who have English as an Additional Language (EAL). For students who have difficulty in completing the set curriculum, consideration is given to a modified course of study. Students who excel are given the opportunity to extend themselves through external competitions, our alternative year level programs and individualised modules.

Pathways and programs are established to meet the needs and interests of each individual. Examples include:

  • Ignite Accelerated Learning Program.
  • Mathematics and English Enrichment Program.
  • Literacy Withdrawal Program.
  • Numeracy Withdrawal Program.
  • Literacy and Numeracy Tuition Program.
  • Subject Based Tuition Program.

  • Individual Student Learning Plans (Acceleration, Enrichment and Learning Support.).
  • EAL Language Classes and Withdrawal Program.

Families requiring information about the wide range of Learning Support Programs on offer are encouraged to contact the College via telephone so that an appointment can be scheduled to discuss what we have available to cater for specific areas of interest and/or need.
