2024 Pathways & Outcomes

The graduating class of 2024 has once again done themselves and the College proud.

  • 175 students successfully completed Year 12, with 151 students gaining their VCE certificate and a further 24 graduating with their VCE VM/VPC certificate.
  • 130 students applied for courses via VTAC, with 129 students receiving an offer in their desired pathway.
  • The remaining 45 students either had apprenticeships signed up (17 students), full time work (11 students), applied to direct for suitable courses (14 students), with the final 3 students taking a gap year and travelling.
  • Again, students were interested in a range of study fields, such as Biomedicine and Health, Science, Business, Education, Engineering and Law.
  • Of the 129 students who received an offer via VTAC, 75 received their first preference, 27 students their second preference and a further 16 students their third preference. This means that just under 92% of Kolbe graduates will be studying their desired course, or in a pathway that will allow them to pathway into and graduate from their desired course in the future.

Work Experience 2025

All Year 10 students are encouraged to undertake a work experience placement during the April, July or September school holidays. Year 10 students in the Aspire or Endeavour program, must complete placement during the allocated weeks, set by these programs.
Work Experience gives students:

  • an understanding of the work environment and what employers expect of their workers
  • an opportunity to explore possible career options
  • increased motivation to continue study and/or undertake further training
  • a better understanding of how the school curriculum can help prepare young people for work
  • an introduction to workplace recruitment practices
  • the chance to 'try out' a workplace.

Prior to undertaking work placement, the attached form must be completed & returned to Ms Williams (J7) for approval. https://content.sdp.education.vic.gov.au/media/work-experience-arrangement-form-2551
