Celebrating the Arts, Farewelling Year 12, and Welcoming the New Year 7 Cohort
The first few weeks of Term 4 have been incredibly busy as we’ve celebrated key milestones, from showcasing our students’ artistic talents to farewelling the Class of 2024 and welcoming our incoming Year 7s.
On Tuesday, October 15, the Performing Arts Showcase left us in awe of our students' talents. We witnessed stunning performances by dancers, singers, instrumentalists, actors, and our dedicated choir. Congratulations to Ms. Roso and everyone involved in Performing Arts for creating such an unforgettable evening!
During the assembly on October 17, we officially farewelled our Year 12s, celebrating their achievements in a week filled with joy and reflection. Our Year 12 Leaders gifted the school a beautiful photocollage of St. Clare, which will be displayed in the new STEM building. We also held a symbolic "changing of the guard" as the current captains passed the torch to our 2025 captains. We applauded the award recipients whose contributions have enriched our College community. The week concluded with the Year 12 Costume Parade, a breakfast, and an evening Mass and Graduation ceremony, where students and families gathered to create final memories of their Kolbe journey.
With exams now underway, we wish our Year 12s every success and commend those attending revision classes and collaborating with peers to prepare thoroughly for their final assessments. After saying goodbye to the Year 12s, we shifted into 2025 mode, welcoming the new Year 7s and their families at our Information Evening. It was wonderful to see familiar faces and to greet new families as they begin their journey with us.
As we continue through Term 4, please remember: no scarves are to be worn with the uniform, blazers are now optional for travel to and from school, and if a blazer is not worn, the red jumper should not be the outermost garment. Revision is now in full swing as Year 10 and 11 students approach Semester 2 exams and their VCE 2025 pre-start, soon to be followed by exams for Years 7–9.
Good luck to everyone as we approach the summer holidays and the festive season!
