As we come to the end of a busy Term 3, all Year 12 students have had an interview with Ms Williams, discussing their pathway options and study plans for 2025 and beyond. Many students have plans to study further in either a degree or diploma program, some students have apprenticeships lined up and a few others are looking at taking a gap year to travel and take some further time to explore their options.
We wish our graduating class of 2024 all the very best with their future plans. VCE results are released from 7am Thursday 12 December. Ms Williams and the Senior School team will be available to support students and make changes to their preferences, if they desire. More details will be sent directly to students, after the VCE exam period.
All Year 10 students are encouraged to undertake Work Experience during their Year 10 program. The college no longer sets a week aside, but instead students can utilise the school holiday period or negotiate a suitable time during the school term. VCE VM students must complete Structured Workplace Learning (SWL) as part of their program, and from 2025, this will occur on a Friday.
There are many places that open their work placements for 2025 in September and October, so this is a friendly reminder to start making contact now, otherwise you may find spots are already allocated. The State government alongside local council also has a portal, where local employers list both work experience and SWL placements: https://workplacements.education.vic.gov.au/
There are government forms that need to be completed, please see the attached links:
