Term 1 saw our Year 10 students take part in the SACCSS Premier League, with many teams making it to the semi-finals. It was fantastic to see the students represent the school with such positivity and commitment.
A special mention goes to the Basketball teams, who participated in Division 1 for the first time. Both the Boys and Girls teams displayed great competitiveness and advanced to the semi-final stages—an outstanding achievement!
We want to extend our thanks to the coaches who dedicated their time to making these opportunities possible for the students:
The start of the year was strong for our SACCSS Senior sports teams. The Cricket team showed remarkable resilience, finishing in 3rd place despite losing two games on the last ball. Their determination and sportsmanship made us incredibly proud.
Senior Volleyball teams, both boys and girls, have also made an impressive start to their seasons and are looking very competitive.
Our sincere thanks to the coaches for their efforts:
The Basketball Academy had six teams across different age groups competing in the prestigious 3X Cup, the premier competition for 3x3 basketball. After a strong showing in the qualifying rounds, four of our six teams have made it to the state championships, which will take place in Term 3.
Congratulations to the following teams and best of luck:
In addition to Premier League and Senior Sports, our school also participated in a variety of SACCSS One Day events throughout the year. Our students showed great competitiveness and represented the school with pride. We would like to thank the following coaches for their dedication:
Our students also participated in the SACCSS Swimming Carnival held at MSAC. Leading up to the event, the selected students trained at Splash Aquatic Centre in Craigieburn multiple times before school to prepare. Their hard work paid off, with some outstanding individual achievements on the day. It was truly inspiring to see our students demonstrating the school’s values both in and out of the pool.
Individual Award Winners include:
A big thank you to Miss Murrone and Mr Capomolla for organising and conducting the training sessions and for their support on the day of the event.
