Heavenly Father,

We come before You with grateful hearts, thanking You for Your guidance and strength this term.

Lord, as we approach this time of rest, we ask for Your blessings upon each member of the Kolbe community. May they find true refreshment and revitalisation during this break. Help them to reconnect deeply with their families and loved ones, cherishing the moments they have together.

Grant them the opportunity to pursue their passions and engage in activities that bring them joy and fulfilment. May this time be filled with laughter, relaxation, and peace.

As each student and staff member returns for the next term, let them all come back renewed in spirit, ready to embrace new challenges and opportunities with enthusiasm and grace.

Keep them safe and healthy, and let Your presence be felt in all they do.

St. Maximilian Kolbe,
Pray for us.
Amen

We have reached the end of Term 2 and the culmination of Cultural Week with a celebration of Culture Day was a fantastic way to conclude.

It was a delight to see the many flags, colours and costumes of the Kolbe Catholic College, it was truly a celebration of diversity and culture. This celebration and acknowledgement of cultures and languages was carried into the Faith sphere. Each day during Culture Week, we paused to pray the Lord’s Prayer during Pastoral Care in a different language. Thanks to all the students who led this sacred moment for our community. We look forward to hearing more prayers in different languages next term during Languages Week.

House Feast Days are important occasions and in the latter half of Term 2, Romero House celebrated their day. Members of Romero House gathered on 13 June for their House Feast Mass, celebrated by Fr. Tom Cleary. We thank him for stepping in at short notice, ensuring the students and staff of Romero House could still celebrate the Eucharist on their Feast Day. Next term, MacKillop and Teresa will celebrate their Feast Days, with Mackillop first on 8 August.

Other key events next term include our Year 11 retreat and our Kolbe Feast Day.

In late August, the year 11s will spend two days engaging in retreat activities, giving them space to engage with their faith and their peers in meaningful and life-giving ways.

Final preparations are well underway for our Kolbe Feast Day, a significant annual event for our community to gather together to celebrate mass. We also have a very meaningful community action planned, we look forward to communicating this with students and parents soon.

Peace and blessings.
