This term, we have the pleasure of welcoming five of our high-achieving alumni back to our school as VCE tutors. Myrtali, Caleb, Alexander, Grace, and Nancy have joined us to provide invaluable support to our students. They will be here every Wednesday, working with individual students and small groups across a variety of subjects.
Their primary focus will be on mentoring our Year 12 students, guiding them through their studies and helping them achieve their best. However, they are also available to assist other students as needed. This initiative is a fantastic addition to our school community, fostering a supportive and collaborative environment for all.
The presence of these alumni tutors is expected to have a significant impact on our students' academic performance. By providing personalised guidance and sharing their own experiences, they can help demystify the challenges of VCE and inspire confidence in our students. Their support can lead to improved study habits, a deeper understanding of the subjects being taught, and ultimately, better academic results.
Moreover, this initiative enhances our academic culture by promoting a spirit of collaboration and mutual support. Students can see firsthand the benefits of hard work and dedication, as exemplified by our alumni tutors. This can motivate them to strive for excellence and take full advantage of the resources available to them.
In addition to academic benefits, the presence of alumni tutors fosters a sense of community within our school. It strengthens the bond between current students and alumni, creating a network of support that extends beyond graduation. This sense of belonging can boost students' morale and encourage them to engage more actively in school activities.
We warmly welcome to Myrtali, Caleb, Alexander, Grace, and Nancy. We encourage all students to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity to learn from and be inspired by our accomplished alumni. Their dedication and success serve as a powerful example of what can be achieved with hard work and perseverance.
