I would like to congratulate all students for their commitment and effort during the term.

It has been a dynamic and action packed term and everyone has been able to adapt to the working environment with all the landscaping that is happening in the middle of the Campus. Students have been working hard in the classroom, on the sporting field, in the community and all with a smile that represents the Kolbe way. We have had two House Feast celebrations, Dunlop and Romero, with more to come in term two. The swimming carnival was a highlight and as I write we look forward to the Athletics carnival.

As we move into Term Two it is a time for students to reflect and celebrate what has worked well but also what may need improvement. The Kolbe uniform requirements are clear, are available on the website, and students are asked to follow these guidelines.  Term two will see examinations take place so students should be completing homework and working with their teachers on what is required, particularly our VCE students. There have already been many wellbeing presentations in the areas of cyber and internet safety and vaping with more to come for years 7 and 8 next term.

In regards to vaping, as a College we are working hard to stamp this out at school with vape detectors installed in many of the student bathrooms across the College. We remind all students and parents that it is illegal for anyone under 18 to possess or use a vape and we will be continuing to impose penalties if caught.

I wish everyone a safe and happy Easter and look forward to another exciting term ahead.
