Kolbe Catholic College continues to be a hive of activity as Term One 2022 progresses. Lessons and programs have been operating with a focus on evidence based high impact learning that aims to maximise growth and build within students the knowledge, skill and understanding needed for them to be the leaders of the future.
A snapshot of some of the many learning programs in operation throughout Term One 2022 appears below:
Families are encouraged to follow the Kolbe Catholic College Facebook Page for a snapshot of these programs in action.
Listed below are some details of upcoming events at the College. Further details regarding each of these events can be accessed via Operoo and/or SEQTA.
Year 7 students will have their ID Photos taken on Thursday 3 March 2022 during Lessons One and Two.
Due to the formal nature of the photos, all students are required to wear their full College Summer Uniform, including their College blazer on this day. All elements of the College Uniform Policy will need to be adhered to for students to participate in the photo process.
Students who have Health and Physical Education classes on this day will be required to bring their Health and Physical Education Uniform to school to change into following the photos.
The student ID photo is for internal College purposes. Students will participate in the Annual College Photos for purchasing in Term Two 2022.
During September 2021, academic testing was arranged for students enrolled in Year 7 2022. Students who were absent on this day will complete their testing on Friday 4 March 2022. The testing will occur in the College Chapel and Building J (Room J6) commencing at 9.00 am.
The purpose of the assessment – The Educational Skills Profile - is to provide the College with information about student skills in Language and Mathematics. It assists us in identifying possible areas of need for extension or assistance. It also provides an effective summary of how our students compare to a broader statewide population. This helps the College to provide a curriculum for our students.
No one is assessed as passing or failing the tests; nor is the assessment seen as a conclusive statement of a student’s ability. It is one of the measures we use, along with information from our feeder primary schools and our observations over time, that allow us to monitor each student’s development.
The testing is conducted by Academic Assessment Services. A report summarising student performance in the assessment tasks will be forwarded to you in March 2022.
As a part of the development of educational and career pathways, the College has arranged for all Year 10 students to participate in Careers Testing to assist them in planning for their future beyond secondary school. The purpose of the testing will be for students to establish a blueprint for the subjects for their senior years of schooling. The details of the Careers Testing are listed below.

TIME | 8.45 am to 12.45 pm (Lessons One - Four) |
