We are delighted to announce that private acting tuition for this term has commenced. We are privileged to have secured the services of Ms. Rebekah Carton as our tutor, bringing with her a wealth of acting and vocal experience. Our enrolled students have already begun their sessions and have expressed their enjoyment of the lessons and the valuable skills they are acquiring. Some aspire to pursue acting professionally, while others seek to enhance their confidence and public speaking abilities.
The College is offering students a unique opportunity: a one-off, free 25-minute trial lesson in acting classes, which has proven to be highly popular. If your child wishes to participate in this trial, please email lroso@kolbecc.catholic.edu.au. Students will be notified when more positions for the trial take place.
During lunchtime, the Performing Arts Centre buzzes with activity. Bands rehearse, students sing, and a variety of clubs convene. Term 2 began with the addition of a piano in the foyer, available for students to showcase their musical talents. It has proven to be a popular addition, enriching the atmosphere with the sounds of beautiful music during breaks. As the weather turns colder, all students are encouraged to join in the activities at lunchtime in the Performing Arts Centre.
We are thrilled to establish a Performing Arts Alumni program, welcoming back past students to assist at the college. One such graduate, Francesca Benigno, was extensively involved in the Performing Arts last year, showcasing her talents at events such as Kolbe’s Got Talent and the Showcase. Francesca has returned to contribute as an assistant in lunchtime clubs, including Dance, Drama, and Karaoke. It is delightful to see her generously sharing her talents with current students. Francesca is currently pursuing performing arts and is completing a Diploma in Creative Arts (Acting). We extend our best wishes to her for her studies. We sincerely thank her for her invaluable contribution to the Kolbe Community.
