On 29 August, Kolbe Catholic College participated in the Battle of the Bands, an exciting event where students showcased their talents in a fun and educational music competition open to schools from the Hume City Council Area. The theme for this year was the 1960s, and Kolbe delivered a fantastic rendition of "Paint It Black" by The Rolling Stones. The band, Max Mosaic, featuring Aaron, Mia, Paul, Conrad, and Zyron, captivated a sold-out audience. Mia received the Encouragement Award for her exceptional performance. Congratulations to Carlos Gomez for leading the team, and to all the band members for their outstanding effort! This performance will be featured at our upcoming Showcase. This event marked Kolbe’s debut appearance and will now become a regular part of our yearly calendar. We look forward to more students participating in 2025.
Students have been busy preparing for this year’s Showcase. This event provides students with the opportunity to display their talents, skills, and creativity to family, friends, and the wider community.
