Our students have continued to shine in the Performing Arts throughout Term 1.
We are thrilled to announce the formation of two bands!
Both groups rehearse during lunchtimes under the guidance of music tutor Mr Cox and Music Coordinator Mr Gomez.
The Choir has been invited to perform at several events this year. Most recently, they had the honour of performing at the opening of the STEM building, which was a truly remarkable and memorable occasion.
On 31 March, the choir went on tour to entertain residents at an aged care home and a retirement village, performing short concerts at Arcare and Levande Highlands Community in Craigieburn.
A huge thank you to Ravinder and Phillipa for booking Kolbe Choir for these venues and warmly welcoming our students, allowing them to create lasting memories.
The Choir is welcoming new members in Term 2! Students are asked to commit for the full term to allow time to develop harmonies, solos, and prepare for events. Students wanting to join the choir are to direct message Miss Roso.
We are excited to share that the Performing Arts Department received a generous donation of a brand-new electric guitar and amplifier.
Our heartfelt thanks to Roger Spiteri for selecting Kolbe as the recipient of this wonderful donation. The guitar will be well-used by students during rehearsals and lunchtime sessions.
Performing Arts at Kolbe helps students grow in confidence, creativity, and teamwork. We are proud of the many opportunities available to help our students thrive in the arts.
We also celebrate those students who are taking their passion for Performing Arts beyond school:
It’s truly inspiring to see both past and present students excelling in Performing Arts. Their dedication and talent reflect the vibrant creative spirit we cultivate at Kolbe.
