Last week, from Monday 5 August to Thursday 8 August Kolbe Catholic College celebrated Science Week. A wide range of activities were on offer for students to participate in to bring the wonders of science to life.
Activities included methane bubbles, making your own lip balm and we even had liquid nitrogen ice cream before school on Tuesday to start our day! Students created gak (slime), completed a taste perception test where they trained themselves to salivate to a bell, and keenly participated in a range of physics experiments.
It was wonderful to see so many of our students participating with enthusiasm. The sheer number of participants and the excitement were a testament to the love of science that is flourishing within our school.
A very large thank you to the Science Teachers and Laboratory Assistants for their work planning and conducting these activities. Their passion continues to foster a love of science amongst our students.
