On 22 March, we were privileged to welcome Indigenous songwriter, musician, and guest speaker Scott Darlow to speak with our Year 8 and Year 11 students. His visit aligned perfectly with the spirit of Harmony Day, a celebration of inclusivity, respect, and cultural diversity.

Through music and storytelling, Scott shared powerful messages about acceptance, embracing our identities, and shaping the people we aspire to become. With honesty and warmth, he encouraged students to reflect on the importance of kindness, understanding, and the role they play in creating a more inclusive society.

Scott’s ability to weave personal experiences with broader themes of reconciliation and unity made his visit both engaging and thought-provoking. His music and words reminded us all that Harmony Day is not just about celebrating diversity for one day, but about fostering respect and connection every day.

His message resonated deeply with students, leaving them inspired to embrace who they are and to approach others with open hearts and minds. We thank Scott Darlow for his generosity in sharing his story and for making Harmony Day even more meaningful for our school community.
