In this edition of The Spotlight Series we get to know Mr Liam Benton, our Year 12 Level Leader and Dunlop House Leader. Liam Benton has been at Kolbe since 2020, and spent two years in the Curriculum team as Learning Leader: Science.

What does a typical day at Kolbe look like for you?
Doing fun practical experiments in Chemistry and Science classes as well as Science and STEM Academy. Working with the Year 12 students to maintain the high academic, uniform and behaviour expectations of the college while supporting them in life at the college.
What do you love most about working at Kolbe Catholic College?
The staff are amazingly supportive and lots of fun. The facilities and support are top notch and the students are very appreciative of teachers, are always friendly and say hello!

Working for my Dad's business, Benton's Plumbing Supplies, selling all kinds of plumbing materials (including toilets).
I won silver medals in the Victorian Interschools for Skiing while in school at St. Bernard's College in Essendon and lived/worked at Falls Creek for two winter seasons.
