Kolbe’s Technology Week was full of action! The week started with a crowd of eager hungry students learning how to create their own tacos whilst exploring the Food Technology area. It was fantastic to see everyone excitedly adding healthy salad options to their taco creations and for some students trying tacos for the very first time!
As the week progressed students had the opportunity to create their own laser cut Christmas decorations and used everything from paint, glue and pom poms, to glitter that made their creations shine. Each student’s creativity really shone through.
A Test of knowledge about all things Technology occurred later in the week, with a quiz that highlighted the broad and interesting nature of the Technology learning area. Prizes for the most correct responses were awarded to those with the quickest entries.
To round out the week students had the opportunity to make their own creations using 3D Pens and learnt how to fly drones – aiming to get it through the hoop using coding to direct their drone.
An excellent effort from all students who participated throughout the week and were able to experience what the Technology area has to offer. Thankyou you also to all members of the Technology team for running such as wide variety of session for students to experience during Technology Week.
