As Term 1 comes to an end, we want to take a moment to acknowledge the resilience, growth, and achievements of our students, staff, and families. The start of the school year is a time of transition - new routines, friendships, and changes - and we are so proud of the way our school community has embraced these changes with care and positivity.
Throughout the term, our wellbeing team has been actively supporting students in building emotional regulation, social connections, and a strong sense of belonging. We’ve seen fantastic engagement in our wellbeing services and group programs.
As we head into the holidays, we encourage students and their families to prioritise rest, connection, and activities that bring joy. The break is a great time to recharge, reflect on personal growth, and prepare for the term ahead.
We wish all our students and families a safe and happy holiday break.

Smiling Mind
Mindfulness is the practice of paying full attention to the present moment with openness and without judgment. Mindfulness helps reduce stress by encouraging a focus on the present moment, which lowers anxiety, improves emotional regulation, and prevents overthinking.
Informal mindfulness can be integrated into daily routines by focusing on being present during everyday tasks such as eating or washing dishes. This approach enhances adaptability, reduces anxiety, and improves overall mental wellbeing. Unlike formal practices like meditation, informal mindfulness is seamlessly incorporated into daily life, making it more accessible and sustainable. ReachOut
Feeling lonely and isolated can be challenging for adolescents, impacting their mental health and wellbeing. You might be wondering - how can you, as a parent, support your child during these times? Initiating open conversations, engaging in shared activities, encouraging new social connections through hobbies or volunteering, and validating their feelings to strengthen rapport are some strategies suggested by ReachOut. To learn more about supporting your child through loneliness and isolation, read here.
